CLIENT CONSENT AND SERVICES AGREEMENT
Find Peace Now – Coaching and BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT)
Services
This Agreement outlines the understanding between Find Peace Now, operated by Karen Armstrong (“Find Peace Now,” “we,” or “us”) and the undersigned participant (“Client”) regarding participation in coaching and BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) services (the “Services”).
Nature of Services
Find Peace Now provides coaching and BWRT-based personal development services designed to support individuals in personal growth, relationship improvement, and goal achievement.
BWRT is provided as a coaching-based personal development modality intended to support insight and personal change.
These Services are educational and supportive in nature and are not psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, or medical care.
The Services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate licensed medical or mental health support when needed.
Voluntary Participation and Client Responsibility
Participation in the Services is voluntary. Clients may discontinue Services at any time by notifying Find Peace Now.
Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, emotional wellbeing, and outcomes during and following participation in the Services.
Clients agree to communicate any concerns or discomfort so Services may be adjusted appropriately.
Emotional Nature of the Work
Coaching and BWRT work may involve discussing personal experiences or relationship challenges. At times this process may feel emotionally uncomfortable.
Clients agree to communicate openly with Find Peace Now if they experience distress or wish to pause or discontinue Services.
If significant mental health concerns arise, Find Peace Now may recommend referral to an appropriate licensed professional.
The Services are not intended for crisis intervention or emergency support, and Find Peace Now does not provide emergency monitoring or crisis response services. In the event of a medical or mental health emergency, clients should contact appropriate emergency or professional services.
Confidentiality
Information shared during Services will be treated as confidential and handled with care.
Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law or where there is a risk of serious harm to the Client or another person, including situations involving abuse, neglect, or threats of harm to self or others.
Session information, notes, or recordings will not be released to spouses, partners, family members, or other third parties without the Client’s written consent unless required by law.
Communication and Technology
Services may involve communication through email, telephone, video conferencing platforms, messaging applications, or other electronic means.
While reasonable steps are taken to protect privacy, electronic communication cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. By participating in Services, the Client accepts the risks associated with electronic communication.
Sessions may not be recorded, photographed, or otherwise captured by either party without prior mutual consent.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Every client situation is unique. While Find Peace Now is committed to providing professional and supportive Services, no specific outcomes or results can be guaranteed.
Progress depends on many factors including personal participation, circumstances outside the Services, and individual readiness for change.
Participation Expectations and Professional Relationship
Client Decision-Making:
Discussions during Services are intended to support reflection, insight, and personal understanding. Ideas or perspectives explored during sessions are not directives or instructions, and all personal, relational, or life decisions remain the responsibility of the Client.
Personal Change and Application:
BWRT and coaching techniques support awareness and change; however, meaningful progress often occurs through reflection and actions taken outside of sessions. Outcomes depend on personal participation and the application of insights gained during Services.
Professional Boundaries:
Find Peace Now maintains respectful professional boundaries to support a safe and effective working relationship. Services are provided within scheduled sessions or agreed communication channels and are not intended to replace crisis, emergency, or ongoing therapeutic support.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any liability arising from participation in the Services shall be limited to the total fees paid for the Services giving rise to the claim.
Termination of Services
Either the Client or Find Peace Now may discontinue Services at any time upon reasonable notice.
Find Peace Now may also discontinue Services where continuation is no longer appropriate or where referral to another professional is considered more suitable.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
To respect the time of all clients and allow availability for others, appointments require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointment cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a late fee equal to 50% of the session fee. Clients who do not attend their scheduled session and do not provide notice (no shows) will be charged 100% of the session fee.
Privacy and Use of Information
Find Peace Now collects, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy: Privacy Policy
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Agreement and Consent
If you have any questions about this Agreement, Find Peace Now encourages you to ask before signing so that we can begin Services with clarity and confidence.
Please note: For clients under the age of majority in jurisdiction where the Services are received, a parent or legal guardian must sign and thereby enters into this Agreement for themselves and on behalf of the client.
